Dance College Auditions

Dance college auditions for September 2016 entry to DS Performing Arts College’s full-time, 2 year course are still taking place. Space is strictly limited – please contact us as soon as possible to book your audition!

THE AUDITION PROCESS

The audition process will include a class or classes which will be specified to you upon approval of your audition date.

You will also be asked to perform a solo of your chosen genre. Choreographed by the applicant or a dance instructor. The piece needs to be 2 – 3 minutes long. Each applicant needs to provide the music they require on an MP3 player, and we recommend you bring a back up CD too. (audio equipment is available).

In addition to this(not compulsory) we recommend you we perform a song, with a backing track. We understand this may not be your strong point but it will increase you chances of being offered a place.

Please have the correct attire for all genres.

NEXT AUDITION DATE

NOT SURE IF YOU’RE READY?

This Easter Holiday prospective students will have the opportunity to train with well known industry professionals like Hugo Cortes (Ballet), Nigel Clarke (Body Percussion), Rowen Hawkins (Commercial/Hip Hop). The workshop is taking place on Saturday April 2nd 2016 and it’s only £40 for the whole day.  It’s a perfect way to get a feel for the college to see if it’s the right fit for you. You can audition on the same day, or make arrangements for a date in 2016.

Below are some highlights from previous workshops.
