Calling all aspiring dancers! We are having a Dance Workshop and Open Day at our London Studios, you’ll have chance to take your dance training to a whole new level, and get a feel for what our college is like, with Dance Masterclasses from some of the best teachers in the industry. Book early to avoid disappointment as space is limited.
We have 4 confirmed teachers for this London dance workshop. Stuart Sweeting will be providing an awesome Musical Theatre class. With shows like Starlight Express, 42nd Steet, and Me and my Girl under his belt, there is nobody more qualified. Straight from the STOMP stage, Nigel Clarke will be switching things up with his high energy commercial class, easily one of the most fun classes you will do. Megan Pay will also be on hand delivering one of her beautiful Ballet classes. And Finally Omari Carter founder of The Motion Dance Collective will be doing a Hip Hop/Commercial class.

Guest Teacher, Hip Hop
Omari Carter is the founder of Screendance production company, The Motion Dance Collective and has been independently choreographing and teaching styles within hip hop culture for the past decade. A first class honours in Performing arts at London Metropolitan University opened the way for Omari to choreograph and perform in several dance specific adverts and music videos – including the recent Weetabix ‘Dancer’ advert and music video, ‘Turn Me Up Some’ by Stanton Warriors.
Guest Teacher, Musical Theatre
As a performer he has appeared in West End musicals including Me and My Girl, 42nd Street, Mack & Mabel in Concert and Starlight Express, where he held the position of Dance Captain for the shows final year in London. As Creative Director for Future Dreams he directed One Night Only (Savoy Theatre), One More Time (Piccadilly Theatre) and She’s The One (Savoy Theatre) working with a host of television and theatre stars including Miranda Hart, Denise Van Outen, Duncan James, Vernon Kay to name a few.
Megan finished her vocational classical ballet training at Central School of ballet in July 2015. She has worked with widely known choreographers and respected members of the dance world such as Christopher Hampson (Director of Scottish Ballet) , Sharon Watson (Artistic Director of Phoenix Dance Theatre ) and Patricia Merrin , who is most well known for being a part of the original Phantom of the Opera cast. Megan in now teaching classical ballet at DS Performing Arts.
Organiser of this London dance workshop, Nigel began his career in dance right here at DS Performing Arts in 1998. His hunger and dedication, lead to him being offered a job with world renowned show STOMP, before he had even graduated. Since then he has had a long and varied career, that has included the West End stage, World tours, and Global Events like the World Music Awards and the Olympics closing ceremony. Credits include Stomp 2015, Skills Crew (Nickelodeon) 2013, Skillicious (ITV) 2010, Dance Factory (CBBC) 2006.
