Some of the biggest names in the West End and on screen started right here at DS Performing Arts College. Our dance teachers will be joining us throughout the 2 year vocational course to offer our students masterclasses and workshops as well as valuable insight into the world of performing arts.

Nigel Clarke

College Director

Nigel trained right here at DS Performing Arts College and has never looked back. From West End stage to World tours to Global Events like World Music Awards and the Olympics closing ceremony his experience speaks for itself. Also an accomplished TV presenter he is an inspiration to our students.

Keeley Malone

Keeley Malone

Teacher, Commercial

Keeley Malone is another DS Performing arts success story, she studied here from 1995 – 1997. After graduating she carved a successful career in the Commercial dance industry performing in Video’s,Tours & T.V. shows such as: Top Of The Pops, CD:UK, Children in Need, Comic Relief, X Factor and MTV.
Having also styled, staged, directed and choreographed shows for L’Oreal, DNA, Ridgeway Studios, Pineapple, O2, Proctor & Gamble,Swatch and Ford. We are very happy to have her on the team, she is one of the students favourite dance teachers.

Megan Pay

Megan Pay

Teacher, Ballet

Megan finished her vocational classical ballet training at Central School of ballet in July 2015. She has worked with widely known choreographers and respected members of the dance world such as Christopher Hampson (Director of Scottish Ballet) , Sharon Watson (Artistic Director of Phoenix Dance  Theatre )  and Patricia Merrin , who is most well known for being a part of the original Phantom of the Opera cast. Megan in now teaching classical ballet at DS Performing Arts.

Stuart Sweeting

Guest Teacher, Musical Theatre

As a performer he has appeared in West End musicals including Me and My Girl, 42nd Street, Mack & Mabel in Concert and Starlight Express, where he held the position of Dance Captain for the shows final year in London. As Creative Director for Future Dreams he directed One Night Only (Savoy Theatre), One More Time (Piccadilly Theatre) and She’s The One (Savoy Theatre) working with a host of television and theatre stars including Miranda Hart, Denise Van Outen, Duncan James, Vernon Kay to name a few.
Simone Clarke

Simone Clarke

Guest Teacher, Body Percussion

Simone is a classically trained musician, dancer and singer, and a teacher of all three. She has been involved in the stage show “STOMP” for 14 years, as a performer, teacher and assistant director and has performed with the World Tour, the Las Vegas cast, and the New York cast. She is currently appearing in the West End production.
Omari Carter

Omari Carter

Guest Teacher, Hip Hop

Omari Carter is the founder of Screendance production company, The Motion Dance Collective and has been independently choreographing and teaching styles within hip hop culture for the past decade. A first class honours in Performing arts at London Metropolitan University opened the way for Omari to choreograph and perform in several dance specific adverts and music videos – including the recent Weetabix ‘Dancer’ advert and music video, ‘Turn Me Up Some’ by Stanton Warriors.
Piedad Albarracin

Piedad Albarracin

Guest Teacher, Ballet & Contemporary

A spanish born professional dancer, Piedad trained at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza y Arte Dramático in Spain. Majoring in Ballet and Contemporary Technique, she went on to win the first choreography competition Premio the Danza in 2009 and has since worked with many incredible choreographers including Benoit Maubrey (Ballerina Audio) and Ryan Gander (As loose as anything). Having toured all over the UK, Europe and Canada, Piedad has a wealth of knowledge and experience that she shares in every moment of her dynamic and and fluid classes.
Hugo Cortes

Hugo Cortes

Guest Teacher, Ballet

Trained in ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary in Brazil, Hugo Cortes started his professional life dancing in The Bale Folclorico da Bahia. In 2005 he joined the cast of The Lion King in London and since then he then has appeared in Ballet Black, Best of Musicals, Carmen Cubana and on screen in Streetdance 3D. Also known as a choreographer and salsa dancer there aren’t many styles that he cant turn his hand to.
